I believe that talking about infertility plays a vital role in coping with infertility. Infertility is a tough topic to talk about for many reasons, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't talk about it. In an effort to help raise awareness, to encourage discussion, and to provide an opportunity to share tangible ways to deal with infertility, I have begun conducting small Forums and Discussion Groups. Here is some more information...
Forum Objectives:
- To create a warm, comfortable, and caring environment for discussion.
- To open dialogue.
- To invite those who attend to participate in a discussion on infertility, as they feel comfortable.
- To provide those who attend to feel that they are not alone.
- To have everyone leave feeling lifted and hopeful.
- To consider ways the gospel can help us as we deal with the challenges of life.
General Information:
These forums are offered at no charge to anyone who would like to attend (that means men, women, fertile, and infertile). There will be a variety of topics, each presented within an LDS framework.
The forums are casual in nature, so feel free to dress casually.
Usually, a forum will last no longer than 1 1/2 hours, but will be based on the needs of the group.
If you would like to attend one of the forums, I invite you to pre-register to ensure your spot. Registration will open the month prior to the event. For example, if you would like to attend the forum in January, registration will open on December 1st. You can currently register for open forums here.
